The first draft of “It’s Wendysday” is about half written. This in-process novel is about young Wendy finding her way in a new school, where she is very different from the others. Despite both of her parents growing up this town, as artists and spiritualists their family sticks out from the rest no matter what. Which is all fine until it affects her seven year old brother Tree, who has never experienced such bullying before. And then there is the cute boy in class, who also seems to not quite fit in and her bestie, whose actions do not align with her professed religious beliefs. how can Wendy stay true to herself and her family and successfully maneuver high school and survive? Follow Wendy through her growth into the women’s circle, her red tent party, developing spiritualism and newfound pride in herself as she discovers who she really is and what she stands for.
